The truth beneath the goals
Women often enter January full of excitement. We set goals. We create plans. We write declarations. We pray over the year. We put the dream on the board.
But somewhere between pursuing the vision, meeting responsibilities, serving everyone else, handling life's unexpected moments, and trying to remain strong, we can lose the woman who was supposed to live the vision.
The problem was never that she needed another goal. Sometimes she needed a plan for herself.
Your vision should include you, too.

A note from Dr. Princess Millens
For years, I attended vision board gatherings just like so many other women. I cut pictures from magazines. I chose words that represented what I wanted. I prayed. I dreamed. I left with a beautiful board filled with everything I believed the year could become.
But there was something missing from those boards. Me.
I had plans for what I wanted to accomplish, but I did not always have a plan for how I would care for myself while accomplishing it. I knew what it felt like to begin a year with big dreams and great expectations, only to reach the middle of the year emotionally exhausted and burned out.
Eventually, I realized it is not enough to build a vision for your life if your emotional, spiritual, and personal well-being cannot sustain the life you are building.
That realization became VISION: Before the Board. This is the experience I wish I had before I created all those boards. A place to breathe. A place to listen. A place to release. A place to reconnect with God. A place to ask what I need. And then, from that place, a place to dream again.
Before you plan the year, care for the woman living it.
What makes this different
Go deeper than goals by reconnecting with God, your purpose, and what matters in this season.
Create from a place of rest and reflection rather than pressure, comparison, or performance.
Name what you are carrying, consider what you need, and make room for your emotional well-being.
Move beyond a collection of wishes toward clarity about what deserves your attention.
Care for your mind, heart, soul, relationships, capacity, and spiritual life as you prepare for the year.
The VISION Method
Your day will be guided by the VISION Method, a whole-soul process designed to help you move from emotional weight and scattered goals toward clarity, care, and intentional action.
This is where the retreat becomes more than a traditional vision board experience.
Before you begin thinking about what you want to accomplish, you will be guided through intentional reflection that helps you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and consider what you truly need for the season ahead.
Through the VISION Method, you will be invited to:
Then, after the deeper work, you will begin creating the board.
Because the board is not the beginning of the process.
You are.
The retreat experience
Every part of the day is designed to create room for honest reflection, meaningful connection, and vision that can be lived with care.
Not just goals. A whole-soul plan.
The planned retreat experience includes
The before and after
Is this your season?
You are ready for the next season, but you do not want to drag everything from the last one into it.
You are usually the strong one and rarely take time to consider what you need.
You have dreams and goals, but you want the woman pursuing them to be healthy too.
You love God and want your plans to come from alignment rather than pressure.
You want more than a pretty vision board. You want clarity and room to breathe.
You want permission to care for yourself without abandoning your purpose.
You want to begin this season differently.

A different way to begin
Maybe this is the year you stop asking only, “What do I want to accomplish?”
Maybe you also ask what you need, what you are carrying, what needs to be released, and what will help you remain whole while you pursue what God has placed in your heart.
Your vision should include you, too.
